Villa 3 Caparica is a completely different Lisbon experience. This gay men’s resort sits across the Tagus near Costa da Caparica, so you stay here for pool days, the coast and easy access to the area’s famous gay beaches rather than city-centre sightseeing.
The atmosphere is relaxed and sociable, with a pool, sauna, spa facilities and plenty of space to meet other guests. It’s adults only, and the international crowd gives the place much more of a holiday-resort feel than you’ll find at a city hotel in Bairro Alto.
Central Lisbon requires a drive or taxi, so this works best when the beach is the main event rather than something you might squeeze in between museums.

The hotel feels more contemporary and understated than some of Lisbon’s historic properties, with a quieter atmosphere that can be welcome after a late night in Bairro Alto.

My Story Hotel Rossio puts you directly on Lisbon’s famous Rossio square, which means you’ll struggle to find a more convenient base for exploring the historic centre.
Chiado and Bairro Alto are an easy walk away, with the bars around Príncipe Real a little further uphill. Rossio station is right beside you for Sintra, while the metro makes airport arrivals and trips across Lisbon straightforward.
The surrounding square stays lively well into the evening, with restaurants, cafés and people-watching right outside, although the hotel itself feels considerably calmer once you step inside.

Upstairs, the rooftop restaurant looks across the city towards the castle and Tagus — a very easy place to lose track of whatever dinner reservation you’d planned elsewhere.

Bairro Alto gets lively late at night, but the hotel sits just far enough outside its busiest little streets to avoid feeling completely swallowed by the party.
