Maracuya Gay House

C. Fernando de Herrera, 6, 29620 Torremolinos, Málaga, Spain

Maracuya Gay House

For something much smaller and more social than Torremolinos’ larger hotels, Maracuya Gay House offers a genuinely gay-focused stay just a few minutes from La Nogalera. This men-only guesthouse is clothing-optional throughout and is designed as much around meeting other guests as simply having somewhere to sleep.

Rooms have private bathrooms, while the shared spaces include a communal kitchen and lounge. The rooftop terrace is the real hub, with sun loungers, a self-service bar and a Jacuzzi added in 2026. The hosts also organise occasional sundown drinks and communal dinners, giving the place a relaxed house-party feel without turning it into a full-on party hotel.

The main LGBTQ+ bars and clubs around La Nogalera are about five minutes away on foot, while Bajondillo and the gay-popular beach area are around ten minutes away.

GayMapper tip: Choose Maracuya if you want a sociable, men-only gay stay where meeting other guests is part of the experience.

Hotel convenience meets apartment living at Hotel Apartamentos Bajondillo. Its huge seafront building contains more than 600 studios and apartments, all oriented towards the Mediterranean and all with their own furnished balcony and small kitchen. The pool is surrounded by gardens and sun loungers, with a seasonal pool bar, while the complex also has a restaurant, café and regular evening entertainment including live music. Having a fridge, basic cooking facilities and extra living space can be particularly useful if you’re staying in Torremolinos for a week rather than a quick weekend. Step outside and Bajondillo Beach is directly in front of you, with the gay-popular beach area around Eden close by. La Nogalera’s main gay bars and clubs are uphill in the centre but still easily walkable. GayMapper tip: Great for longer stays when you want a sea-view balcony and kitchenette without giving up the facilities of a full-size hotel.
3* El Pozo Hotel

3* El Pozo Hotel

You’re right in the middle of Torremolinos here. Hotel El Pozo sits just off Calle San Miguel and only around 100 metres from the railway station, with the bars and clubs of La Nogalera’s LGBTQ+ nightlife virtually around the corner. Accommodation ranges from straightforward singles and doubles to larger studios and suites, making this unusually flexible if you’re travelling with friends or staying for longer. Air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and private bathrooms come as standard, while some rooms add balconies and the larger categories give you considerably more space. When beach time calls, both Bajondillo and La Carihuela are easily reached on foot, and the centre’s restaurants and cafés surround you in every direction. GayMapper tip: Particularly handy for a short break without a car — arrive from Málaga Airport by train, drop your bags and you’re already beside the gay nightlife.
3* Hotel Sireno Ritual

3* Hotel Sireno Ritual

Hotel Sireno Ritual Torremolinos gives you a lively adults-only base right in central Torremolinos, with Plaza Costa del Sol outside and the main LGBTQ+ nightlife around La Nogalera only a few minutes away on foot. It’s part of the Ritual Hotels family, so the atmosphere is distinctly LGBTQ-friendly without being quite as scene-focused as Hotel Ritual itself. The rooftop is the highlight, with an infinity pool, sun terrace and gastrobar looking across the town towards the Mediterranean. Rooms are bright and contemporary, with sea-view options available, while the hotel also has a restaurant and regularly hosts entertainment including drag dinners. Guests can additionally access selected facilities at nearby Hotel Ritual Torremolinos. Bajondillo Beach is around a ten-minute walk downhill, and the railway station is almost on the doorstep. GayMapper tip: A great alternative to Ritual if you want an adults-only, LGBTQ-friendly atmosphere and rooftop pool while staying right beside La Nogalera.
4* Essence Hotel Boutique

4* Essence Hotel Boutique

The heated saltwater pool is reason enough to appreciate Essence Hotel Boutique outside the height of summer. It’s joined by a Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and outdoor solarium, with the spa area included for hotel guests rather than treated as an expensive extra. The location works nicely too. Playamar and Bajondillo beaches are only around three minutes away, while walking into the town centre brings you to La Nogalera and Torremolinos’ main LGBTQ+ nightlife in roughly 10–15 minutes. Rooms are contemporary, with air-conditioning, coffee facilities, minibars and modern bathrooms. Upstairs, Space Monkey Sky Bar adds another reason to stay around the hotel for a drink, while the buffet restaurant takes care of breakfast and other meals. GayMapper tip: One of the best all-round choices if you want beach time and good hotel facilities but still prefer to walk into La Nogalera at night.
2* Hostal La Palmera

2* Hostal La Palmera

For a simple central base, Hostal La Palmera gets the important things right. This family-run guesthouse sits on Avenida Palma de Mallorca, close to both Calle San Miguel and La Nogalera, where Torremolinos’ main concentration of LGBTQ+ bars, clubs and cruising venues comes alive each evening. The rooms are straightforward but air-conditioned, with private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. Several categories also have balconies, including rooms with views towards the sea or surrounding hills. Bajondillo Beach is around five minutes away on foot, while the railway station is close enough to make airport transfers and trips into Málaga particularly easy. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars around the hotel, so you’re never far from somewhere for breakfast or a late drink. GayMapper tip: A strong choice if price and location matter more than resort facilities — especially useful for nights out in La Nogalera.
4* Leonardo Torremolinos

4* Leonardo Torremolinos

Three pools give Leonardo Hotel Torremolinos Costa del Sol more of a resort feel than you might expect from such a central hotel. There’s a rooftop pool with panoramic views, a larger seasonal outdoor pool and a separate children’s pool, plus a sauna, gym and wellness area. Its Calle de las Mercedes location is very convenient for LGBTQ+ visitors. La Nogalera and the main concentration of gay nightlife are just a few minutes away, the railway station is around 400 metres from the hotel and Bajondillo Beach is roughly a ten-minute walk downhill. The 398 rooms have balconies or terraces, with sea-view categories making the most of the elevated position. There’s also an international buffet restaurant, several bars and a rooftop Sky Bar for drinks with a view. GayMapper tip: A good pick if you want to be close to La Nogalera but still like the pools, entertainment and facilities of a larger holiday hotel.
