Popular Bars in Birmingham
Missing Bar
Missing Bar is Birmingham's party bar in the heart of the gay village. It's the first gay bar that you come to as you walk down Hurst Street and it's well worth a visit if you're looking for a good time. The venue, which used to be exclusively a cabaret bar, has now been taken over my new management who have completely redone the interior to create a modern and exciting party bar that offers a little bit of everything.
The Fountain Inn
The Fountain Inn is a traditional gay bar. It used to be a men only venue but now welcomes everyone, and is conveniently located near many other gay venues and restaurants. It's the perfect place to spend the night, as the hotel above the bar is one of the few places to stay within the gay quarter. You can party till late and go straight to your accommodation. Both will make you feel at home away from home.
The Fox
The Fox is a premier lesbian bar and describes itself as "a little gay bar with a big gay heart". It's proud to welcome everyone and the staff are always friendly. Its quaint beer garden often hosts live music, and the space only adds to the relaxed and friendly vibe across the venue. Karaoke, pool, and a great selection of drinks make for a great night and lots of new friends.
The Village Inn
The Village Inn is one of the most well-established and popular bars in Birmingham's Gay Quarter. It offers entertainment every night of the week, in the form of appearances from some of the best drag and cabaret acts in the area. Queens host weekly bingo and karaoke, and the biggest names appear on a Saturday nights when the bar is open well into Sunday morning. Regulars always have their favourite night of the week to visit The Village Inn!
