Station 4

Station 4

Big, bold and gloriously over the top, Station 4 is the undisputed heavyweight of Dallas gay clubbing. Known affectionately as S4, this enormous multi-level LGBTQ+ nightclub occupies a prime spot on Cedar Springs and attracts a lively, mixed crowd for dancing, drag and late-night entertainment. There's much more to explore than a single dance floor. The complex includes multiple rooms with different personalities, from high-energy dance music and electronic sounds to a retro gaming lounge and even a horror-themed bar. Upstairs, the legendary Rose Room hosts some of the city's finest drag performances, while balconies and patios offer places to take a breather. Station 4 is particularly good for a big night out with friends, and its extended weekend opening hours make it a favourite with serious partygoers.
Liquid Zoo

Liquid Zoo

Part neighbourhood pub, part karaoke playground and always full of personality, Liquid Zoo is one of Dallas's most entertaining LGBTQ+ hangouts. This relaxed bar on Knight Street attracts a friendly mix of regulars and visitors who appreciate reasonably priced drinks, hearty food and an atmosphere where nobody takes themselves too seriously. Karaoke is one of the biggest attractions, with enthusiastic singers taking the microphone on several evenings each week. Regular drag entertainment, themed nights and special events provide additional reasons to visit, while the kitchen serves American bar favourites and occasional food specials. It's particularly good for groups who enjoy a little entertainment without the intensity of a large nightclub. Expect a lively but welcoming atmosphere where joining in is part of the fun.
Alexandre's

Alexandre's

If your ideal gay night out involves excellent cocktails, live music and a friendly atmosphere rather than a packed dance floor, Alexandre's is one of Dallas's standout choices. This intimate Cedar Springs favourite has built a loyal following for its talented performers, welcoming bartenders and a slightly more sophisticated take on neighbourhood nightlife. Music is a big part of the attraction, with regular singers, musicians and themed entertainment creating a wonderfully sociable atmosphere. The cocktail programme is another highlight, offering carefully made classics alongside creative house favourites. Alexandre's also has a kitchen serving comfort food, making it a particularly good choice for dinner and drinks before exploring the wider gaybourhood. It's an easy place to spend an entire evening, especially if you appreciate a good conversation between performances.
The Mining Company

The Mining Company

A Dallas gay institution since 1978, The Mining Company has evolved into one of Cedar Springs' most energetic nightlife destinations. Known locally as TMC, this lively bar combines a welcoming neighbourhood atmosphere with DJs, drag performances and a dance floor that rarely stays quiet for long. The crowd is predominantly gay male but welcoming to everyone, with a fun, sociable energy that builds throughout the evening. Multiple spaces, attractive bartenders and occasional go-go entertainment add to the appeal, while the outdoor areas provide an excellent spot for conversation and people-watching. One of TMC's biggest attractions is its straightforward approach: it opens daily, stays lively late and doesn't charge a cover. A great choice for anything from an afternoon drink to a spontaneous night of dancing.
