Popular Bars in Los Angeles
Slammer
Gay cruising and socialising club with a playful atmosphere. It offers different playing facilities. The Slammer is a no-nonsense leather bar tucked away from the glossy West Hollywood scene. Dark, gritty, and unapologetically old-school, it draws a loyal crowd that prefers edge over polish. Expect strong drinks, loud energy, and a vibe that feels raw, intimate, and a little rebellious.
Reload
Reload is LA's favourite Saturday night into Sunday morning gay club and party space in the heart of Hollywood. This after-hours dance club hosts DJs from across the world to provide first-class music for weekly events and parties. Reload is super popular with tourists as well as the local queer community, so the dance floor is always packed, the music is the best in the area, and the loud and lively atmosphere makes for a great night.
Precinct
Precinct is downtown LA's largest LGBTQ bar, known for its rock music, drag shows, and parties. Events held here attract many big names in LA's contemporary nightlife, as well as rock and roll lovers from the local queer community. On the second floor you can find a bar, dance floor, stage, and a terrace with views over the exposed brick decor. It's the perfect spot for a beer, while elsewhere in the club you can dance with an eclectic crowd.
Beaches WeHo
In the heart of West Hollywood, Beaches is a fashionable venue that mixes restaurant with lounge to create a thoughtfully put together experience that guarantees you a good time. All aspects are visually stunning and perfect for photos, and you can get lost in 80s disco nostalgia, neon lights, and jungle theme. The food is first-class, and speciality cocktails from two bars can be enjoyed either in the main room with the DJ or in the more relaxed VIP space.
Flux
Flux was voted by the LA Hotlist as the number one gay bar in Los Angeles County. It's a vibrant and happening hangout for the queer community, both local and tourist, and offers pool tables, TVs, and a patio for a quieter night. Entry is normally free, and drinks are always cheap and served by a number of attractive bartenders. The bar is always pleasantly busy with a good atmosphere and lots of friendly customers.
Micky's WeHo
This is the premier gay night club and bar destination in West Hollywood. There's lots of entertainment on offer, and the regular drag shows and comedy nights are particularly popular. Throughout the week there are themed events with different genres of music playing across all floors of the venue, and great drinks prices are guaranteed to keep you going every night of the week. Cheap drinks and hot guys are the perfect combination for a gay night out!
