Drag is very much the heart of Strass Barcelona, with shows running regularly through the week alongside music, drinks and the occasional bingo session. The style is fun and accessible rather than high-concept, making this a good choice when you want traditional Barcelona drag entertainment without committing to a big club night. The Villarroel address puts Strass firmly inside Gaixample. The Moon Barcelona is only a few doors away, while El Cangrejo, Bacon Bear Bar and several other gay venues are within an easy walk. The crowd mixes locals and tourists across a broad age range, with evenings often starting fairly relaxed before becoming much livelier later on.

This small space is packed with personality, mainly because you can hardly see the walls for religious artifacts and decorations. La Chapelle is certainly quirky, a place like no other in the city to enjoy cocktails with an equally quirky crowd. La Sastrería is virtually next door, with DMEN'S, Priscilla and numerous other LGBTQ+ venues within a few minutes' walk. Bears and admirers form the core crowd, but the atmosphere is deliberately inclusive and noticeably more easy-going than a specialist fetish bar.

Believe Club is a drag cabaret and disco bar in the heart of the fabulous Eixample gay district. Drag shows and live music nights are regularly hosted here so there's something different going on almost every night. The disco club is open every day until morning so you can dance the night away. Believe is built on good music, kitsch, and karaoke, ideal for Barcelona's camp gay crowd.

Boyberry is one of the more laid-back men-only cruising clubs in Barcelona, where you can go for some casual cruising and a few drinks. There are lots of different play areas to explore, plenty of cabins, and adult videos playing around the venue. Boyberry even has an on-site adult shop, so it's well worth a visit no matter the time of day.

Candy Darling has its roots in queer activism and strives to include all identities. There's something for everyone to enjoy here and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Sit back and watch shows each night, from drag to circus and burlesque. There's also a mini disco room and all sorts of queer art adorning the walls. To go with your drinks, be sure to try a Bikini Darling, the local name for a ham and cheese toastie that's a speciality here.
