ReView Lounge

ReView Lounge

518 S Riverfront Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75207

Just across the road from Dallas Eagle, ReView Lounge is a lively gay bar that combines a friendly neighbourhood atmosphere with plenty of entertaining distractions. It's a great option for visitors who want to explore Dallas's LGBTQ+ nightlife beyond the main Cedar Springs strip, particularly if they enjoy drag, dancers and sociable evenings.

The programme changes throughout the week, with karaoke, DJs, drag performances and male dancers keeping the atmosphere varied. Cocktails and reasonably priced drinks are central to the experience, while themed events and special parties attract a fun mix of regulars and visitors. There's an informal, welcoming feel that makes it easy to drop in for a drink or stay for the entertainment. With Dallas Eagle so close, it's particularly convenient for combining two very different gay venues in one evening.

Popular Bars in Dallas

The Mining Company

The Mining Company

A Dallas gay institution since 1978, The Mining Company has evolved into one of Cedar Springs' most energetic nightlife destinations. Known locally as TMC, this lively bar combines a welcoming neighbourhood atmosphere with DJs, drag performances and a dance floor that rarely stays quiet for long. The crowd is predominantly gay male but welcoming to everyone, with a fun, sociable energy that builds throughout the evening. Multiple spaces, attractive bartenders and occasional go-go entertainment add to the appeal, while the outdoor areas provide an excellent spot for conversation and people-watching. One of TMC's biggest attractions is its straightforward approach: it opens daily, stays lively late and doesn't charge a cover. A great choice for anything from an afternoon drink to a spontaneous night of dancing.
Hidden Door Inc

Hidden Door Inc

If you like your gay bars friendly, unpretentious and full of local character, Hidden Door is a Dallas institution that's well worth seeking out. Tucked away on Bowser Avenue, this longstanding neighbourhood favourite has been welcoming gay men and their friends since 1979, with a particularly strong following among bears and mature visitors. The atmosphere is refreshingly relaxed, with reasonably priced drinks, friendly bartenders and plenty of opportunities to strike up a conversation. Darts and pool provide a little entertainment, while the spacious outdoor patio is a major attraction, particularly during the bar's legendary Sunday afternoon beer busts. Hidden Door is a great alternative to the louder Cedar Springs clubs, especially if you prefer somewhere sociable where making new friends comes naturally.
Barbara's Pavillion

Barbara's Pavillion

For a wonderfully traditional gay neighbourhood bar with plenty of personality, Barbara's Pavillion is an Oak Cliff favourite. Tucked away near the Texas Theatre, this little Dallas institution feels a world apart from the bigger clubs of Cedar Springs, attracting a friendly, mixed LGBTQ+ crowd who appreciate good conversation, affordable drinks and an atmosphere that genuinely feels local. Karaoke is one of the main attractions, with enthusiastic singers and a supportive crowd making it a particularly entertaining evening even if you have no intention of picking up the microphone. The outdoor patio is another highlight, providing a laid-back place to catch up with friends or meet some of the regulars. Unpretentious and full of character, Barbara's is a great choice if you enjoy discovering the smaller bars that give a city its personality.
Liquid Zoo

Liquid Zoo

Part neighbourhood pub, part karaoke playground and always full of personality, Liquid Zoo is one of Dallas's most entertaining LGBTQ+ hangouts. This relaxed bar on Knight Street attracts a friendly mix of regulars and visitors who appreciate reasonably priced drinks, hearty food and an atmosphere where nobody takes themselves too seriously. Karaoke is one of the biggest attractions, with enthusiastic singers taking the microphone on several evenings each week. Regular drag entertainment, themed nights and special events provide additional reasons to visit, while the kitchen serves American bar favourites and occasional food specials. It's particularly good for groups who enjoy a little entertainment without the intensity of a large nightclub. Expect a lively but welcoming atmosphere where joining in is part of the fun.
Kaliente

Kaliente

For a proper Latin gay party, Kaliente is one of Dallas's most energetic nightlife destinations. Located on Maple Avenue, away from the main Cedar Springs strip, this lively LGBTQ+ nightclub attracts a predominantly Latino crowd with an infectious combination of music, dancing and glamorous entertainment. Expect reggaeton, Latin pop, salsa and familiar dance-floor favourites, with DJs keeping the atmosphere lively throughout the night. Drag performances are another major attraction, bringing elaborate costumes, theatrical flair and plenty of audience participation to the party. The atmosphere is youthful, colourful and unapologetically energetic, making Kaliente a particularly good choice if you're looking for something different from the mainstream gay clubs. Arrive ready to dance and enjoy a distinctly Dallas-Latino flavour of LGBTQ+ nightlife.
LadyLove Lounge

LadyLove Lounge

For an intimate, music-led night out with a distinctly queer spirit, LadyLove Lounge & Sound is one of Dallas's most interesting discoveries. Tucked into the Bishop Arts District, this independent, women-owned listening lounge combines excellent DJs, creative cocktails and a welcoming atmosphere that attracts queer women, music lovers and a wonderfully diverse crowd. The soundtrack is the star here, with carefully selected vinyl and DJs playing everything from soul and funk to disco, house and unexpected musical discoveries. Earlier evenings are ideal for relaxed drinks and conversation, while later sessions can turn into lively dance parties. The venue also serves food, making it easy to spend an entire evening here. Stylish without being pretentious, LadyLove is an excellent alternative to the larger clubs of Cedar Springs.
