Mother opened in 2010 to offer a unique experience to the queer community of Dublin. Music and emerging talent are at the heart this weekly queer clubbing venue seeks to be the home of live music in the city. Late club nights feature some of the country's best DJs who play electro and disco music to keep the party going into the early hours
Jack Nealons
Established in 1905 and the building dates back to the 18th century. Authentic Georgian architecture and a large open fire create an ambience suited to conversation. A diverse and varied crowd gather here to unwind, drawn to the first class cocktail lounge upstairs. PantiBar
This cosy little watering hole is full of personality as you'd expect from the bar owned by the queen of Dublin drag. This friendly and flamboyant space acts as a meeting place for city's diverse queer community. All sorts of people hang out here during the week for a quieter drink, while come the weekend there's always a party with themed events, live performances, and a mix of music from pop to rock.
Street 66
Tucked away in the heart of trendy south Dublin, close to Dublin castle, Street 66 is a live musical bar. The interior is beautifully designed with rustic yet warm decor so you can relax and feel at home, making this is one of the most loved bars in the city. Owned by the same iconic drag queen as PantiBar, Pennylane offers a lightly more relaxed (but equally queer and fun) alternative to the other LGBTQ+ bars and clubs in the area. A stylish interior and chilled out vibe make Pennylane perfect for drinks with friends or a hangout after work. You can start your evening here if you're feeling sophisticated before heading across the road to PantiBar for a dance.
