Hummel Hummel bar was a pioneer of gay nightlife on Gran Canaria, being the second gay venue to open in the Yumbo Center. Right on the beach in Maspalomas, Strandapotheke is the place to head on your way back to your hotel after a day on the gay beach. Busiest in the afternoon and early evening, playing schlager music, come by for a nice cool beer and to chat to friends you made in the sea.

Macho Macho is a cozy, gay-friendly bar open since 1996, popular with a German & Dutch crowd and anyone who likes to party with Schlager tunes. Found on the 2nd floor of the Yumbo Centre.

Parrots Bar

Parrots Gran Canaria is a sister bar to the famous Parrots in Sitges. Occupying a prime location in the Six Pack area on the ground floor of the Yumbo Centre, with a popular, large terrace and just across from Bar Junior. There as large video screens here, plus cabaret shows and waiters in skimpy outfits. Like all bars in the Six Pack area, Parrots starts to get busy earlier in the evening than elsewhere in the Yumbo Centre.

Spartacus

One of the oldest gay bars in Gran Canaria, Spartacus has a large outdoor terrace on the ground floor of the Yumbo centre, located next door to WunderBar.

Bar Peppermint

Situated in the heart of the famous Six pack Zone in the Yumbo Centre, you'll find Peppermint right next door to Parrots. A cosy bar-cafe, offering great cocktails with a French twist, you will be hostedby Bastian and Jonathan who will be at your disposal to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We're told that their Bruschetta with Mediterranean flavors and homemade gourmet waffles are not to be missed.
