Step Madrid (formerly known as The Paso) is an institution on the Chueca gay scene, having been catering to the bear community for years. It's busy all week but particularly at weekends, when a fun and friendly crowd flocks to the bar and music videos are playing on large screens. There's no attitude here so everyone can feel comfortable, including in the small dark room in the back of the bar.

You'll find a busy dance floor in the basement, while upstairs there's a stage that regularly hosts drag and adult shows. You can start your night earlier than at the other clubs and party with a younger crowd, especially at weekends.

Cosier than some other gay pubs in the area, Medaigual attracts a slightly older crowd for a more traditional night out. Guys tend to meet here for a relaxed drink and a catch up, but there's also regular live music and karaoke that give the bar a brilliant energy. Medaigual also hosts regular themed nights that attracts loyal locals and visitors looking to make new friends.
La Lulu
La Lulu is a camp cocktail and disco bar in Chueca, serving delicious drinks and an eye-full of attractive shirtless staff. There's offers on drinks every day, making this a favourite meeting place for gay guys of all ages. Club 33
Club 33 is one of the more underground clubs in the heart of Madrid. It's the best place to dance late into the night, enjoying music from a wide range of genres including indie, rock, and 80s classics. All sorts of special events are hosted here as well, from comedy and live music to film screenings and fetish parties. Club 33 is truly a place for everyone with a varied line-up to match the crowd.
