Popular Bars in Provincetown
The Vault
Hidden away in the infamous Crown & Anchor resort, The Vault is the centre of the Provincetown gay leather scene. Attracting a generally older crowd of bears, their admirers, and men in uniform, this dark and seclude club is a hot spot for cruising. The place may be small but there are plenty of dark corners to retreat into, mature videos on the screens, and stiff drinks at good prices to keep you going into the early hours.
Wave at Crown & Anchor
Located in the popular Crown & Anchor Inn, Wave is a great place to relax with delicious cocktails served up by friendly bartenders. There's access to a waterfront pool deck with fantastic harbour views, plus a dozen video screens playing a range of music videos. House DJs choose what's on and keep the place lively, and there's also a Stage & Screen Musical night multiple times per week.
Aqua Bar
Aqua Bar is located at the Aquarium Marketplace, boasting a beautiful waterfront deck as its proudest feature. The deck looks out at magnificent views of Provincetown Harbour (and the sunset if you visit in the evening), providing a scenic place for you to enjoy creative cocktails and delicious food. There are 7 restaurants on site, each offering something a little different for you to try. Aqua Bar is a must-visit destination for a stylish night out on the coast.
Purgatory at Gifford House
The Gifford House Inn is home to Purgatory, one of Provincetown's most popular LGBTQ+ dance clubs. In the basement below this charming vintage inn, you'll find a lively party that attracts a cruisey crowd of leather guys and plays great house music late into the night. If you need a break there's also the Porchside Bar hidden just inside the lobby of the inn, where you can enjoy a quieter drink in a lounge-like atmosphere.
Harbor Lounge
This waterfront cocktail lounge overlooking the harbour is a beautiful place to have an afternoon drink with friends. The space is modern with a comfortable ambience, serving crowd favourites like martinis, bubbles, and a great selection of wines and beers. Enjoy all this in a seating area that feel like a home from home, watching the sun set over the pier, and chatting with a welcoming crowd.
Paramount at Crown & Anchor
Part of the popular Crown & Anchor Restaurant, Paramount is the largest waterfront nightclub in the city. It's a great alternative to the crowded bars and pubs, with a huge dance floor, state-of-the-art light and sound technology, and a host of internationally renowned DJs keeping the party going.
