It occupies the Bikini Berlin building beside the Zoo, right between Kurfürstendamm and Tiergarten. Rooms are divided between urban-facing and jungle-facing categories, with the latter looking across the zoo and Tiergarten. The playful interiors continue throughout the hotel, and there are even hammocks in some rooms. Upstairs you’ll find the popular NENI restaurant and Monkey Bar, whose huge windows provide some of the best views in City West. There’s also a sauna overlooking the zoo, bicycle hire and excellent public transport from Zoologischer Garten. The Schöneberg gay scene is a short ride or a longer walk away, so choose 25hours for its atmosphere and location rather than immediate nightlife access. ArtHotel Connection is one of Berlin’s genuinely LGBTQ+-focused places to stay and has a location that is difficult to improve upon if Schöneberg nightlife is the priority. KaDeWe is just around the corner, while bus 100 and the U-Bahn give you easy connections towards Tiergarten, the Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz and Alexanderplatz. There’s also a peaceful courtyard garden and lounge area — useful when you need a quieter moment between sightseeing and going out. KaDeWe and Wittenbergplatz are both nearby, and Nollendorfplatz U-Bahn station gives you excellent connections across the city. For gay travellers who want to stay genuinely within the neighbourhood rather than merely “near Schöneberg”, the location is hard to beat.

Hotel de Rome is the option for a properly luxurious Berlin stay with sightseeing rather than nightlife at the centre of the location.
