Few hotels make central Sitges quite as easy as this one. Hotel Platjador sits directly on Passeig de la Ribera with the beach across the road, Bassa Rodona a short stroll along the promenade and the main gay nightlife around Plaça Indústria only a few streets behind you. Its 59 rooms include sea-view options with balconies as well as rooms overlooking the pool. There’s an outdoor swimming pool with a hydromassage area, but the rooftop bar is arguably the best communal space, with lovely views across the Mediterranean. Another particularly civilised touch is the buffet breakfast, which runs until midday — very useful after a late Sitges night. Rooms also have tea and coffee facilities and a pillow menu. GayMapper tip: The combination of beachfront location, nightlife access and late breakfast is hard to beat. Sea-view rooms are particularly worthwhile here.

Ibersol Antemare is aimed squarely at a more relaxed Sitges break. This adults-only hotel sits in the quieter residential area behind the promenade, around two minutes from the beach and roughly 12 minutes on foot from the town centre. The outdoor areas are a major part of the appeal, with swimming pools, sun terraces and greenery creating more of a resort atmosphere than you’ll find at most central hotels. Rooms are bright and contemporary, many with balconies or terraces. La Pérgola restaurant handles the main dining, joined by a gastrobar and poolside lounge terrace for something more casual. The gay bars around Plaça Indústria aren’t immediately outside, but they’re still comfortably reachable on foot. GayMapper tip: Particularly appealing if you want adults-only surroundings, pool time and easy beach access while keeping the busier gay nightlife at a comfortable distance rather than directly beneath your window.

You could easily walk past Hotel El Xalet without guessing what’s hidden inside. This handsome 19th-century house is packed with original character, from stained-glass windows and colourful mosaic floors to antique furniture, with every room decorated slightly differently. Outside, a leafy courtyard surrounds the swimming pool and terrace, giving you somewhere surprisingly peaceful to retreat to despite being right in central Sitges. There’s also a cocktail bar and, during the summer season, a restaurant serving beside the pool. The beach is under ten minutes away, while the main gay nightlife around Plaça Indústria and Carrer Joan Tarrida is even closer and easily reached on foot. GayMapper tip: Choose El Xalet if you like smaller hotels with genuine local character — the beautiful historic interiors and garden pool make this much more memorable than its modest star rating suggests.

Location really is the star here. Alenti Sitges Hotel sits on Carrer Primer de Maig, right among the streets surrounding Plaça Indústria where much of Sitges’ gay nightlife is concentrated. Walk in the opposite direction and you’ll reach the promenade and beach within a couple of minutes. The hotel itself is much calmer than its lively surroundings suggest. There are 23 bright contemporary rooms with a relaxed Mediterranean style, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and coffee-making facilities. Some of the more indulgent room categories have private terraces and outdoor whirlpool tubs. Up on the roof there’s a small swimming pool, loungers and an honesty bar — perfect for cooling off before getting ready for the evening. GayMapper tip: Few hotels make Sitges quite this effortless. Beach in one direction, the main gay bars in the other, and barely any walking involved in either.

For many LGBTQ+ visitors, Hotel Calipolis occupies one of the best positions in Sitges. It sits directly on the promenade opposite Bassa Rodona, the town’s main gay beach, while the bars around Plaça Indústria and Carrer Joan Tarrida are only a short walk away. The hotel is larger than many central Sitges properties, with 170 rooms and particularly good sea views from the front-facing categories. Many rooms have private terraces, and there’s an outdoor pool, gym and free bicycle hire. Mirador Restaurant serves Mediterranean food with sweeping sea views, while La Terraza is a more relaxed spot beside the pool for drinks, tapas and snacks. GayMapper tip: Sea-view rooms are worth considering here. With the beach directly in front and much of Sitges stretching along the coast below you, those balconies make particularly good use of the location.

With only 14 rooms, Hotel Casa Vilella offers a much more intimate take on an upscale Sitges stay. The beautiful Noucentista house was designed by Joan Rubió i Bellver, a disciple of Gaudí, and still feels more like a grand private residence than a conventional beachfront hotel. It sits directly on the promenade in a quieter section just west of the centre. The beach is across the road, while Bassa Rodona and the main gay nightlife around Plaça Indústria are still an easy walk away. Behind the house you’ll find gardens, a swimming pool, terrace and chill-out area, while inside there’s a fitness room, Mediterranean restaurant and personalised wellness treatments. Many rooms have sea views. GayMapper tip: One of the nicest choices for a romantic Sitges stay — small, elegant and peaceful, but still close enough to walk into the nightlife after dinner.
