The Basement Club

Colourful, political and proudly queer, Lo de Carmen offers something refreshingly different from the predominantly male bar scene in Gaixample. Drag, karaoke, DJs and community events feature regularly, with an especially welcoming approach to trans, non-binary and gender-diverse guests. The venue sits on Paral·lel between Sant Antoni and Poble-sec, away from the main Eixample cluster but close to the more alternative LGBTQ+ scene around venues such as La Federica and Bar Rufián. The crowd is broad, creative and local-feeling, mixing queer women, gay men, trans and non-binary people rather than aiming at one particular demographic.

BeGay is one of the most iconic beach bars in all of Barcelona, and the only gay one. This beautiful section of La Mar Bella nudist beach is elegant yet attitude-free, serving up a delicious menu of Mediterranean and international cuisine. Head to be bar for refreshing mojitos or BeGay's famous protein shakes. Enjoy all your food and drinks on the shaded terrace or in hammocks by the sand.

Believe Club is a drag cabaret and disco bar in the heart of the fabulous Eixample gay district. Drag shows and live music nights are regularly hosted here so there's something different going on almost every night. The disco club is open every day until morning so you can dance the night away. Believe is built on good music, kitsch, and karaoke, ideal for Barcelona's camp gay crowd.

Blunit is a cosier gay bar with a scenic terrace, the ideal place to relax and unwind with friends. This place offers a great value night out, providing drinks at good prices and giving out goodies like free tickets or discounts for other events nearby. Blunit is a perfect start to your night before you move on to other clubs or parties, but there's good music here too so you can just stay and take in the atmosphere.

This men-only bar and cruise club is one of the most popular of its kind in Eixample. Its dark back room and private cabins are always busy with a mixed age clientele, while at the bar you can meet new guys and take advantage of happy hours every night. The club is open daily into the early hours for plenty of drinks and casual cruising fun.

Dmens is located in the heart of Eixample. This is one of the newer gay bars in the area, run by the popular Moeem and Grupo Arena. Entry is free and the bar opens earlier in the evening that most other places in the area, so you can start your night early with plenty of drinks and party till morning. The space is small but beautifully lit with neon lights, complete with a bar serving cocktails, plus DJs and dancing.
