The Little Philharmony

The little Philharmony, Schaperstraße, Berlin, Germany
A long established bar, popular with an older, arty clientele. It has a very cosy feeling, like being in someone's front room. Check out if there are any shows on when you are visiting Berlin. This is a very different venue from other gay bars in the city.

Curly Bar
Curly Bar is a cosy, friendly queer cafe in Berlin's Wedding district, where barista coffee with cake and tapas are offered. The venue is smaller, but perfect for drinks and chit-chat with friends. It's known for its welcoming atmosphere and as a space for various LGBTQIA+ events and activities.
Kumpelnest 3000
Kumpelnest 3000 in Tiergarten is one of Berlin’s quirkiest queer bars, known for its eccentric décor and anything-goes atmosphere. Once a brothel, it now mixes kitsch, glitter, and dim lighting to create a fun, slightly surreal vibe. The crowd is wonderfully mixed—queer, straight, locals, and visitors—all coming together for strong drinks, late-night chats, and spontaneous dance sessions. Open until the early hours, it’s the kind of place where the night can take unexpected turns. Kumpelnest 3000 is a true Berlin institution, playful, welcoming, and delightfully unpredictable.
Betty F***
Betty F is a small basement gay bar in Berlin Mitte, with cabaret entertainment. The bar's small size, like a "Berlin backroom," adds to its charm and makes it a unique experience. Betty F is also notable for its decor, friendly staff, and 80s and 90s music, which often leads to dancing. Gets busy on weekends.
Roses
An alternative gay bar in Kreuzberg, with a quirky interior featuring walls lined with pink fur and kitsch accessories. It's not a huge bar, so it can get extremely busy at peak times. If you have been to places like the Retro Bar or Vauxhall Tavern in London, then Roses would be worth a visit.
SchwuZ
SchwuZ in Neukölln is one of Berlin’s biggest and most beloved queer clubs, famous for its colorful parties and inclusive vibe. Housed in a former brewery, it spans multiple dance floors with music ranging from pop and disco to techno and house, so there’s something for everyone. Themed nights, drag performances, and live acts add extra flair, drawing a diverse, international crowd that loves to dance until sunrise. With its friendly, energetic atmosphere, SchwuZ is a must-visit spot for anyone wanting to experience Berlin’s vibrant queer nightlife.
