Wild Tulips

Wild Tulips

1209 E 13th Avenue, Denver, CO 80218

There's something exciting blooming in Denver's LGBTQ+ scene. Wild Tulips is a new sapphic bar and lounge in Capitol Hill, created as a welcoming home for queer women, trans and non-binary people, while embracing the wider LGBTQ+ community. Its glamorous, 1970s-inspired interior combines rich colours, vintage furnishings, disco balls and playful details that make it feel wonderfully individual.

There's plenty more to Wild Tulips than its good looks. The planned entertainment programme includes drag, dancing, karaoke, social gatherings, creative workshops and community events, making it as much a place to connect as somewhere to enjoy a night out. The relaxed lounge atmosphere is particularly appealing for meeting friends or making new ones. Opened in October 2026, Wild Tulips is helping bring dedicated sapphic nightlife back to Denver after the closure of The Pearl earlier in the year.

Hamburger Mary's

Hamburger Mary's

Burgers, big personalities and fabulous entertainment make Hamburger Mary's one of Denver's most entertaining LGBTQ+ dining destinations. Housed in a colourful building in City Park West, this lively restaurant brings a wonderfully camp twist to American comfort food, with generous portions, creative cocktails and plenty of opportunities to join in the fun. The star attraction is the drag entertainment, particularly the hugely popular weekend brunches where talented performers entertain guests between courses. There's also drag bingo, themed events and regular special performances, making Mary's a brilliant choice for groups, celebrations or anyone who loves a little theatre with their meal. The outdoor patios offer a more relaxed setting when the weather is pleasant. Reservations are strongly recommended for drag brunch, which regularly sells out well in advance. Come hungry, bring your sense of humour and prepare to be entertained.
Town Hall Collaborative

Town Hall Collaborative

More than just another bar, Town Hall Collaborative is a wonderfully welcoming gathering place that celebrates Denver's creative and LGBTQ+ communities. Located in the Santa Fe Arts District, this spacious, independently minded venue brings together a café, cocktail bar, community space and changing programme of cultural events under one roof. During the day, it's a relaxed spot for coffee, casual meetings or catching up with friends, while evenings bring everything from live music and poetry to social gatherings, workshops and community celebrations. The atmosphere is inclusive and refreshingly informal, with comfortable seating, a dog-friendly patio and plenty of opportunities to meet interesting people. It's particularly appealing if you want to discover Denver's wider queer culture beyond conventional gay nightlife, or simply enjoy a welcoming space where conversation and creativity take centre stage.
#VYBE Denver

#VYBE Denver

Big on personality and refreshingly inclusive, #VYBE is a lively LGBTQ+ bar on Broadway that brings together a wonderfully mixed crowd for drinks, music and entertainment. Family-owned and operated, this spacious venue feels more like a friendly neighbourhood gathering place than an exclusive nightclub, with a welcoming atmosphere for visitors of all ages and identities. The entertainment programme is particularly varied, with regular karaoke, drag performances, themed parties, live music and the occasional silent disco. There's an outdoor patio with a performance stage, plenty of comfortable space to socialise and a kitchen serving food late into the night. The bar also has a reputation for its creative infused shots and colourful cocktails. Whether you're joining friends for karaoke or simply looking for a fun, informal place to spend the evening, #VYBE is an excellent alternative to the traditional Colfax gay bars.
Bad Habits Denver

Bad Habits Denver

Looking for a friendly gay bar where you can actually hear yourself think? Bad Habits is a relaxed East Colfax neighbourhood favourite where games, good food and easy conversation take priority over crowded dance floors. With its welcoming LGBTQ+ atmosphere and cheerful regulars, it's an excellent choice for a casual evening away from Denver's bigger clubs. There's plenty to keep you entertained, including darts, arcade machines, board games, trivia and karaoke, while the two outdoor patios provide welcome space for socialising. The kitchen serves American bar favourites, and there's a particularly good choice of non-alcoholic beers and mocktails alongside the usual cocktails and draft beers. Regular themed nights, happy hours and community events add variety without overwhelming the laid-back atmosphere. It's particularly good for groups of friends or solo visitors hoping to meet some friendly locals.
Trade

Trade

For a taste of Denver's leather, bear and fetish scene, Trade is one of the city's essential gay bars. Located in the Santa Fe Arts District, this welcoming venue has built a loyal following among bears, pups, leather enthusiasts and men who enjoy a more adventurous night out, without making newcomers feel out of place. The atmosphere is sociable and refreshingly unpretentious, with friendly bartenders, affordable drinks and a spacious covered patio that's popular throughout the year. Regular themed events provide plenty of variety, including underwear nights, beer busts, karaoke and gatherings for different parts of the fetish community. The crowd changes depending on the evening, so it's worth checking the calendar if you're looking for a particular scene. Trade is especially appealing for men who enjoy a relaxed bar atmosphere with a slightly cruisier edge than Denver's mainstream gay venues.
Tracks

Tracks

When it comes to big gay nights out, Tracks is the undisputed heavyweight of Denver's LGBTQ+ clubbing scene. Housed in a spacious industrial building in the RiNo district, this legendary nightclub has been bringing people together for decades with enormous dance floors, impressive lighting and some of the city's biggest queer parties. The music changes throughout the week, from pop and nostalgic dance favourites to electronic sounds, hip-hop and special guest DJs. Drag performances and themed events add even more variety, while the club's famous First Friday parties are particularly popular with lesbian and queer women's communities. Tracks attracts an enthusiastic, diverse crowd and offers a scale of nightlife that's hard to find elsewhere in Denver. Check the event calendar before visiting, as each night has its own personality and admission requirements.
