STRONG

STRONG, Calle de Trujillos, Madrid, Spain
Located in the heart of gay Madrid, this is a men's only dance bar with lots to offer. There's a huge dance floor and full bar plus loads of cruising spaces. Take advantage of a labyrinth, cabins, and adult videos playing on large screens. Strong is always busy but it's particularly packed for parties every Saturday night. There's no dress code as such but clothes don't tend to be an issue for long…

Popular bars in
Madrid
Barbanarama
Relatively new to the gay scene in the lively Chueca neighbourhood, Barbanarama is already popular thanks to cheap but quality cocktails and friendly atmosphere. The latest hits play loudly throughout the night to entertain a diverse mix of people. Everyone is welcome but the bar is especially popular with bearded local guys, giving you a true taste of Madrid's nightlife and its lively clientele.
Step Madrid
Step Madrid (formerly known as The Paso) is an institution on the Chueca gay scene, having been catering to the bear community for years. It's busy all week but particularly at weekends, when a fun and friendly crowd flocks to the bar and music videos are playing on large screens. There's no attitude here so everyone can feel comfortable, including in the small dark room in the back of the bar.
Pub Gris
Calm and subtle lighting creates an atmosphere at Gris that's hard to describe. It's a small space that fills up at weekends, maintaining a slightly old fashioned but stylish vibe. The music is generally rock and punk, complete with the occasional live tribute band and consistently cheap drinks served at the bar. Gris is straight-friendly and becoming popular with a hipster crowd.
Sixta
Located in the popular La Latina neighbourhood, Sixta Bar attracts a truly mixed crowd. It's a favourite hangout spot for both gay guys and lesbians, people of all ages, and a completely attitude-free crowd. The bar combines a unique decor with a casual atmosphere and a soundtrack of the greatest hits. Drinks are reasonably priced as well, fuelling plenty of dancing and a brilliant night out.
Black & White
Black & White has been a popular Chueca nightclub since the 80s, earning itself a reputation as the perfect place to meet new guys. It's something of an institution thanks to its friendly crowd and variety of events. You'll find a busy dance floor in the basement, while upstairs there's a stage that regularly hosts drag and adult shows. You can start your night earlier than at the other clubs and party with a younger crowd, especially at weekends.
Zarpa
Zarpa is mostly popular with bears and their admirers, especially slightly older guys looking to enjoy a few drinks before moving on to Chueca's clubs. The bar is busy every weekend thanks to reliably cheap pints and popular music across all genres. Music videos play around the bar, keeping the atmosphere alive and drawing in the crowds of masculine guys.
