Step Madrid
Step Madrid (formerly known as The Paso) is an institution on the Chueca gay scene, having been catering to the bear community for years. It's busy all week but particularly at weekends, when a fun and friendly crowd flocks to the bar and music videos are playing on large screens. There's no attitude here so everyone can feel comfortable, including in the small dark room in the back of the bar.
El 12 CLUB
El 12 Club is a relatively new bear club in Chueca. It hosts some brilliant live music covering a range of genres from house and pop to techno and funk. There is also a line-up of talented house DJs who bring the club to life every night. El 12 features two distinct spaces, El Bar and El Puticlub, where you start your night or dance till morning.
Medaigual
Cosier than some other gay pubs in the area, Medaigual attracts a slightly older crowd for a more traditional night out. Guys tend to meet here for a relaxed drink and a catch up, but there's also regular live music and karaoke that give the bar a brilliant energy. Medaigual also hosts regular themed nights that attracts loyal locals and visitors looking to make new friends.
Barbanarama
Relatively new to the gay scene in the lively Chueca neighbourhood, Barbanarama is already popular thanks to cheap but quality cocktails and friendly atmosphere. The latest hits play loudly throughout the night to entertain a diverse mix of people. Everyone is welcome but the bar is especially popular with bearded local guys, giving you a true taste of Madrid's nightlife and its lively clientele.
Boyberry Madrid
A favourite cruising spot in Madrid, Boyberry is the place to go for cheap drinks and a super friendly but hot atmosphere. It offers something different to classic dark cruising spaces, bringing a refreshingly modern twist to the scene. Boyberry offers the usual favourites such as peep holes, cabins, and darkroom but alongside these you can find an adult shop and full bar with friendly staff.
La Kama Bar
La Kama is a cocktail bar and cafe that's pretty new on the scene in Chueca but already making a name for itself. Attractive and often topless waiters are unsurprisingly a draw for gay visitors, but they also serve the best cocktails around which is always a bonus! The music is a diverse mix of genres and videos are always playing on screens around the bar. La Kama is open every day for casual drinks before a night of clubbing.
