Cruising Bars in Provincetown
Purgatory at Gifford House
Fetish, Dancing, Cruising
The Gifford House Inn is home to Purgatory, one of Provincetown's most popular LGBTQ+ dance clubs. In the basement below this charming vintage inn, you'll find a lively party that attracts a cruisey crowd of leather guys and plays great house music late into the night. If you need a break there's also the Porchside Bar hidden just inside the lobby of the inn, where you can enjoy a quieter drink in a lounge-like atmosphere.
The Vault
Men Only, Fetish, Cruising
Hidden away in the infamous Crown & Anchor resort, The Vault is the centre of the Provincetown gay leather scene. Attracting a generally older crowd of bears, their admirers, and men in uniform, this dark and seclude club is a hot spot for cruising. The place may be small but there are plenty of dark corners to retreat into, mature videos on the screens, and stiff drinks at good prices to keep you going into the early hours.
A-House
Fetish, Dancing, Cruising
Atlantic House (or A-House) has been the premier nightclub in Provincetown for decades. The complex is open year-round and features three distinct bars. Little Bar offers a jukebox, fireplace, and quirky nautical decor, and is a popular space for an afternoon hangout. Macho Bar is the city's original leather and Levi bar (complete with cage) attracting a cruisey crowd. The Big Room is the number one dance club in Provincetown, with state-of-the-art sound and lighting and the very latest music.
Other Cruising Spots in Provincetown
Herring Cove Beach
Mixed Ages, Cruising
A large and popular beach as it is sheltered from the Atlantic Ocean currents. More frequented in the summer, you'll find guys around the beach waiting to catch someone's eye. Plenty of areas of beach grass for privacy, but be conscious that the area is also popular with families, so watch out for the kids. Located to the right at the end of Route 6 in Provincetown.
The D*ck Dock
Men Only, Cruising
Infamous on the global gay scene, the D*ck Dock is located underneath the pool terrace of The Boatslip Resort. You can access the beach down some steps to the right of The Boatslip, and the action will be to your left, under the boardwalk. This cruising spot gets very busy later in the evening, especially in the summer months.
